This is a pretty solid episode and the first to introduce the Devil. The suicide attempts are pretty well done but the lead character is quite a nuisance. It’s one of those episodes that are good but easy to overlook.

Another great episode, the remaining Pagong members try to find a crack within the alliance and unfortunately they fail to do so. The episode is very heavily focused on Gervase and his children born out of wedlock.
Perhaps my favorite of the season, everyone shined in particular adorable Colleen. Richard went naked on his birthday while Pagong woke up and tried to get him out. Sean and his hilariously dumb alphabet strategy. It was a very entertaining hour of Survivor.
A really great episode that showed different sides of several people, in particularly Greg and how much more devious he was. The tapes from here were fun, especially since Jenna didn’t get one. Greg’s little exit remains one of my favorites and I wish more people would walk out fake-crying.

Survivor: 1×07 The Merge
Best episode so far. Both tribes unite which causes a lot of friction between different personalities, in particular Rudy who isn’t the most social of the bunch. Greg once again shines like the star that he is.

Angel: 1×03 In The Dark
I have always had some issues with this episode, and some things just irritate me. But as a whole it is an entertaining episode with some great dialogue. It was the first crossover and I sure wish it wasn’t Oz’ last.
Perhaps one of the best episodes of the first season. In it, a man of current time tries to escape his life by visiting his old town. He unknowingly travels back in time into his youth but there can only be one of him at the same time. This episode has a neat little message that sometimes it’s better to move on but find things in your current life that once made you happy.
This episode is a poor man’s Sunset Boulevard with a Twilight Zone twist. It looks good and it works, but it’s somehow a tad forgettable. The story is about a once-big actress who wants to relive her glory days, and in the end she does get her wish.
The first western wasn’t a very memorable one. Great performances and directing, but the story never quite hits on. I only like it for production purposes, it’s a great looking episode.

Angel: 1×02 Lonely Hearts
I have always enjoyed this episode, it’s not as good as the pilot but it was able to maintain that same darkness and detective atmosphere of the first episode. Also like the idea of a demon that preys on the lonely, reminds me of The X-Files. Main reason why I like it is that it maintains a level of wit throughout a dark, depressing episode. But it does have many flaws.
